Our Vision

OSS Projects

VA Linux's engineers are involved in these Open Source Projects.

Linux Kernel Linux

Linux Kernel is Linux OS itself. VA Linux takes a part in developing the Linux Kernel, and has developed several new functions. We stretch from developing to writing some practical guides.

OpenStack OpenStack

OpenStack is cloud computing technology producing the ubiquitous open source cloud computing platform for public and private clouds. We are involved in developing this.

Xen Xen

Xen is a virtual machine monitor for x86 that supports execution of multiple guest operating systems with unprecedented levels of performance and resource isolation. We conduct verification, function enhancement and consulting about Xen.

Open vSwitch Open vSwitch

Open vSwitch is a production quality, multilayer virtual switch designed to enable massive network automation through programmatic extension. We are developing Debian package maintenance and merging into the upstream.

NetBSD
Project
NetBSD Project

The NetBSD Project is an international collaborative effort of a large group of people, to produce a freely available and redistributable UNIX-like operating system, NetBSD.
We joined this project.

UltraMonkey UltraMonkey

Ultra Monkey is a project to create load balanced and highly available services on a local area network using Open Source components on the Linux Operating System. We joined this project as a key member.

SuperSparrow SuperSparrow

Super Sparrow enables users to load balance traffic between geographically separated points of presence by finding the site network-wise closest to clients. We join this project as a key member and offer the information in Japanese.

Linux Virtual Server(LVS) Linux Virtual Server(LVS)

The Linux Virtual Server is a highly scalable and highly available server built on a cluster of real servers, with the load balancer running on the Linux operating system. We are involved in developing this.
